From there, go down to Plaza de Cibeles and walk along Paseo del Prado to Neptuno. From there you can walk up Carrera de San Jeronimo, see the Congress and get to Puerta del Sol.

Continue to the Plaza Mayor and go to the Almudena Cathedral and the Royal Palace. It can be the perfect end to the morning.

After a lot of walking and taking lots of pictures, it's time to take the bus or the subway to come to Parque de Atracciones de Madrid, where you can spend the most fun afternoon.

If the kids are a little older, you can start in the Tranquility area. Zeppelin, the Virtual Simulator, Star Flyer and La Jungla will help them get acquainted with the park and enjoy their first exciting family experiences.

Los Fiordos, Los Rapidos, Vertigo or TNT - El Tren de la Mina are rides that will delight young and old alike.
